Job Purpose and Impact

The North America Regional Packaging Manufacturing Technology Lead will lead a regional team of manufacturing technology professionals across the region to provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in packaging manufacturing technology. In this role, you will drive efficient performance of each unit operation up to leading practice standards and across the entire manufacturing technology process, including process capabilities, hazard analysis, performance monitoring, auditing, technical training, process improvements and project support. You will deliver optimized performance of existing and new assets by collaborating cross functionally with the business and commercial leadership to meet business goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee regional performance goals and metrics for packaging manufacturing technologies, drive and implement performance improvements of processes within operations, partnering with the global manufacturing technology team, manufacturing excellence and site stakeholders.
  • Define and deploy the regional roadmap for the packaging manufacturing technology including high performance innovation, understanding industry trends, applying experience and mastery, managing intellectual property and partnering with business and commercial teams to understand customer needs.
  • Deploy into the region global manufacturing technology standards, engineering discipline standards and operating philosophy requirements and ensure correctly translated into project specific technology transfer packages.
  • Provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants, working with local teams, governance teams, other subject matter experts, external experts and technical support to capital projects and identification and resolution of root causes to emerging issues.
  • Responsible for risk management of packaging manufacturing technologies, understanding safety, process safety, food safety, regulatory and environmental standards, policies and codes.
  • Act as a resource for plants in this area on current safety standards and enhance the future safety of our facilities.
  • Provide leadership in administering and support the creation of related policies for plants.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience  and expertise in the Packaging manufacturing technology area
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience, three years of supervisory experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in the packaging manufacturing technology area
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in the Packaging manufacturing technology area
  • Five years of supervisory experience

  • Provide deep technical expertise for the design standards, process capabilities, hazard analysis, performance monitoring, technical training and incremental and significant improvements for Packaging manufacturing technologies.
